Los Angeles native Devin Lucien purchased his first set of turntables 10 years ago with no ambitions to DJ a club, but rather to emulate his idols that dominated the DMC DJ Championships like Q-bert and Craze. Growing up in Los Angeles and heavily influenced by nineties new York hip-hop artists like Brand Nubian and Tribe called Quest, Devin has taken his early influences and created a distinct sound that resonates with with diverse crowds nationwide.  Although his investment was primarily a way to get more involved in the culture that had fascinated and shaped his youth, turntables allowed the once passive listener to become an active participant in the the music that had become his obsession.

While attending a local university his focus continued to be drawn to DJ’ing. There were plenty of college parties that needed more than just an IPOD play-list and  Devin saw a way in which he could turn his love for music into pocket money throughout college. Devin quickly began to get a local buzz for rocking house parties and it was at this time he realized his hobby could become a career.

After graduating Devin refused the 9 to 5 existence that the majority of his friends  adopted and took a more DIY approach by throwing and DJ’ing parties at Hollywood bars and clubs.  Although his nights were a success the promotion aspect of it was not his forte and he was getting more and more recognition for his DJ’ing skills. Early on with no management Devin relied on his own perseverance to get any event or gig available, whether it was working for free playing his friend's birthday or working a high profile event.

While many other DJ’s are known for there image and gimmicks Devin has always been about the music and his no bullshit approach quickly earned him residencies in Hollywood's more exclusive clubs like S-Bar, Hyde, Les Deux, Foxtail and Area.  He has also DJ’d events for T-Mobile, Rock-n-Republic , Vitamin Water, InTouch Magazine and MTV as well as after parties for Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri and The Max Payne movie premiere. Today Devin's sound has drawn from his diverse DJ’ing experience and thus is more innovative than a typical club DJ set. He is known to play everything from electro artists like Justice and The Crookers to hip hop bangers that galvanize the crowd.

Currently Devin works 250+ gigs a year and has residencies at H.Wood and Guy’s & Doll’s. He also plays dates in Miami, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and San Francisco.
